Movie Review (MR) - Allied

1st Review: Allied I loved this movie. IMDB has the following for the plot
In 1942, a Canadian intelligence officer in North Africa encounters a female French Resistance fighter on a deadly mission behind enemy lines. When they reunite in London, their relationship is tested by the pressures of war.
First I must tell you that this movie kept me on the edge of my seat. I went back and forth between wanting Marianne Beauséjour to be guilty so that the movie wouldn't be a cliche and wanting her to be innocent so that Max Vatan would get a happy ending. In the end, I was more than satisfied. I loved the pacing of the movie as well. It was not an action movie by any means though there was some action filled parts that would give any WWII movie a run for its money. Mostly I just fell in love with the characters and their sexy but dangerous lives. I am not a huge fan of romance movies but this movie has something for everyone, action, romance, and suspense. I give it the rare 5 out of 5 stars. A great way to start out the blog.
